30 Apr 6th Class Trip to Trinity College Dublin – A Day to Remember!
Recently, our 6th class pupils enjoyed a wonderful educational trip to Trinity College Dublin in the heart of Dublin city. It was a day full of discovery, learning, and creativity!
One of the highlights of the visit was seeing the world-famous Book of Kells. The children were amazed by the beautiful, detailed artwork and learned how this ancient manuscript was created over 1,200 years ago by monks using natural inks and careful handwriting.
We also explored the stunning Old Library, home to thousands of ancient books and the breathtaking Long Room. Walking through the tall wooden shelves felt like stepping back in time, and the pupils were very impressed by the history all around them.
To finish off the day, the class took part in a Celtic design workshop. They learned about traditional Irish art patterns and created their own unique designs inspired by ancient Celtic knots and symbols. Everyone showed fantastic creativity and pride in their work!
It was a fantastic experience that brought history, art, and learning to life. Well done to all our 6th class pupils for representing the school so brilliantly and making the most of this special trip!
