27 Jan Solar System in Room 8

Room 8 have been learning all about the Solar System for the last fortnight. In Geography, we learned all about the different planets. The children completed Research on each of the planets. 
In history, we learned all about the life of Neil Armstrong. Look at the pictures below of the worksheet room 8 completed after their Neil Armstrong lesson.
In art, room 8 made Papier Maché planets out of Balloons. Firstly we blew up the balloons. Next, we made the Papier maché paste using pva glue and water. Following this the children put 3 layers of the paste on the balloons. After the Papier Maché dried, the children painted their planets. Here is how they turned out!
