18 Jan STEM challenge in Room 4
Last week, room 4 worked like engineers!
Our task was to build the tallest free-standing structure we could out of nothing else but 90cm of tinfoil
We worked in our pods and brainstormed what shape our structure would be
Then, we were given 5 minutes to work with our team and create our structure
We had many successes!
And some not-so-successful
Our tallest structure made was 62cm tall! We figured out that a strong and wise base was essential for holding the structure up. We also noticed that having a conical shape was important so the structure wouldn’t tip over.
